YS Jagan Inquires About Chilkur Priest Rangarajan’s Well-being

Former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday reached out to Chilkur Balaji Temple’s chief priest, CS Rangarajan, to offer his support following a recent attack on him. The incident has sparked widespread condemnation across both Telugu states, with several political leaders, public representatives, and prominent figures expressing their solidarity with Rangarajan.

YS Jagan Mohan Reddy called Rangarajan over the phone to inquire about the details of the attack and his well-being. Expressing his concern, Jagan stated that the attack on Rangarajan and his family was deeply distressing, especially given the priest's dedication to protecting religious values, guiding devotees spiritually, and upholding dharmic traditions.

The attack reportedly took place near Rangarajan’s residence close to the Chilkur Balaji Temple. According to reports, a group of individuals approached him, urging him to support the idea of 'Rama Rajya.' When he refused, they allegedly attacked him. A video related to the incident went viral on social media, prompting a strong reaction from the Telangana government.

Following the public outcry, police registered a case and initiated an investigation. Several suspects have already been arrested in connection with the attack.
