Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy’s Lands to Undergo Comprehensive Survey from Today

A comprehensive survey is set to begin today on lands allegedly encroached upon by YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leader and former advisor to the Jagan Mohan Reddy government, Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy, and his family members.

According to the government’s previous survey, certain government and forest lands were found to be under the possession of the Sajjala family, prompting legal action. In response, Sajjala approached the High Court, following which the government submitted its survey report to the judiciary.

The government has now stated that another detailed survey will be conducted to precisely identify the boundaries of the encroached lands and confirm whether they include revenue or forest land. The High Court has permitted the survey while directing that the status quo be maintained to avoid any damage to agricultural fields.

Following the court’s directive, the government has appointed a three-member team, including the Kadapa Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO), the District Forest Officer (DFO), and the Survey & Land Records Assistant Director (AD), to conduct the survey. This team will commence its work from today.

The land in question is located in Chintakomma Dinne Mandal of YSR District, adjacent to the Chittoor-Kurnool National Highway. Official records indicate that Sajjala Sandeep Reddy owns 71.49 acres, Sajjala Janardhan Reddy holds 16.85 acres, Y. Satya Sandeep Reddy possesses 21.46 acres, and other family members, including Sajjala Vijayakumari, collectively own a total of 146.75 acres.

A previous government survey revealed that approximately 55 acres within this total landholding consisted of government and forest lands. However, while the forest department has denied the presence of forest land, the revenue department has maintained that encroachments exist as per official records. Given these conflicting claims, the government has decided to proceed with the fresh survey to establish clear land ownership details.
