Police conduct fresh searches at YSRCP leader Vamsi’s residence

Andhra Pradesh Police, assisted by Rayadurgam police, conducted fresh searches at the Hyderabad residence of former Gannavaram MLA and YSRCP leader Vallabhaneni Vamsi Mohan.

The search, involving an inspector, SI, and constable, aimed to locate Vamsi’s missing mobile phone, which police believe holds crucial evidence. CCTV footage from his residence was also collected. Vamsi's phone went missing during his arrest in connection with the Gannavaram TDP office attack case.

Of the 94 accused, 40 have been arrested, with Vamsi designated as A71. Special teams are tracking the remaining suspects. During his arrest, Vamsi allegedly stalled police action for 40 minutes, during which his phone disappeared. AP CID and Rayadurgam police had also searched his house a day earlier, collecting documents and CCTV footage.

Vamsi was arrested on Friday for allegedly kidnapping complainant Sathyavardhan in the TDP office vandalism case. A Vijayawada court remanded him for 14 days, while police continue their search for 12 more suspects.
