In a shocking incident in Kambham town, Prakasam district, a mother and an auto driver were arrested for the brutal murder of 35-year-old Shyam, allegedly due to his abusive behavior towards women in the house.

According to police reports, Shyam’s mother, Salamma, along with auto driver Mohan, murdered Shyam, cut his body into pieces, and stuffed the remains into three gunny bags before dumping them in a crop canal near Medara Bazaar. The crime came to light when locals discovered the dismembered body parts and alerted the police.

Upon questioning, police initially suspected a property dispute as the motive but later uncovered that Shyam’s alcohol addiction and violent behavior led to the murder. Markapuram DSP Nagaraju visited the crime scene and launched a deeper probe into the case.

The police have detained Salamma, auto driver Mohan, and Shyam’s elder brother Subrahmanyam for further questioning, as their statements have been inconsistent. The murder has caused a major stir in Kambham town. Police said that full details will be revealed once the investigation is complete.
