Tollywood director Ajay Shastri has passed away

Ajay Shastri directed the movie ‘Do You Know Me?’ in which he also played the hero opposite Manchu Manoj. This was the only movie directed by Ajay Shastri.

Ajay Shastri hailed from Hyderabad and began his career as a writer for films such as “Rakhi” and “Danger” under the guidance of senior director Krishna Vamsi. He made his directorial debut with ‘Do You Know Me?’ in 2008, starring Manchu Manoj and Sneha Ullal.

Although the film was well received for its music, it did not perform well commercially. After the release of ‘Do You Know Me?’, Ajay Shastri disappeared from the public eye. News of his demise was recently disclosed by actor Manchu Manoj on social media.

In an emotional post, Manchu Manoj expressed his grief over the loss of his close friend and the director of ‘Do You Know Me?’. He shared prayers for Ajay Shastri’s family and friends during this difficult time. Manchu Manoj also paid tribute to Shastri, referring to him as “Dad” and expressing eternal love.
