Nara Lokesh Makes Key Appeal to Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw
Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh, currently on a visit to Delhi, met with Union Minister for Railways and IT, Ashwini Vaishnaw, last night. The meeting lasted nearly two hours, during which Lokesh made several key requests related to the state's development.
Lokesh urged the Union Minister to establish the AI Centre of Excellence for Education, announced in the Union Budget, in Andhra Pradesh. He emphasized that the state is well-prepared to capitalize on emerging opportunities in artificial intelligence and sought the central government's support in this regard. Additionally, he requested assistance for the upcoming data city planned in Visakhapatnam.
Following his meeting with the Union Minister, Nara Lokesh addressed the media, stating that discussions covered topics such as special economic zones and the establishment of data cities. He mentioned that Ashwini Vaishnaw responded positively and assured full cooperation from the central government. Lokesh added that he would bring the Minister's suggestions to the attention of Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
Lokesh also revealed that Ashwini Vaishnaw promised to visit Visakhapatnam and Tirupati soon to personally review the projects initiated during the previous TDP government. He further announced that TCS operations in Visakhapatnam would commence within the next two months and that an official announcement regarding Cognizant’s establishment in the city would be made soon. Lokesh affirmed that new projects would be implemented in the state every year.
