After multiple postponements, Akhil Akkineni’s much-delayed action thriller Agent is finally streaming on Sony LIV. Directed by Surender Reddy, the high-octane action film introduced Sakshi Vaidya as the female lead and featured Mammootty in a pivotal role.
Despite immense pre-release hype, the film's repeated delays led to a decline in audience expectations, and its theatrical run fell short of predictions. Even producer Anil Sunkara acknowledged that the film did not meet their expectations.
The OTT release also faced uncertainties, with Sony LIV securing the digital rights but postponing the premiere multiple times. Originally planned for 2023, the film has now debuted on the platform nearly two years later. Though scheduled for a March 14 release, it became available for streaming a day earlier, on the evening of March 13.
Now, audiences can finally watch Agent in all South Indian languages on Sony LIV.
