Megastar Chiranjeevi to Be Honored at UK House of Commons

Indian cinema legend Megastar Chiranjeevi is set to be honored at the UK's House of Commons on March 19, 2025, in recognition of his significant contributions to cinema and public service. The event, hosted by Navendu Mishra, MP from Stockport, will also feature other notable MPs, including Sojan Joseph and Bob Blackman.

During the ceremony, Chiranjeevi will receive the "Lifetime Achievement Award for Excellence in Public Service through Cultural Leadership" from Bridge India, a prominent UK organization dedicated to enhancing public policy. This marks the first time Bridge India is bestowing such an award, underscoring Chiranjeevi's exceptional impact.

In 2024, Chiranjeevi was honored with the Padma Vibhushan, India's second-highest civilian award, and earned a Guinness World Record for his prolific career as an actor and dancer. He also received the ANR National Award from the Akkineni International Foundation. This upcoming recognition in the UK adds to his illustrious list of accolades.

It's important to note that recent rumors suggesting Chiranjeevi would be granted honorary UK citizenship have been dismissed by his team. They clarified that while he is being honored in the UK, there is no conferment of citizenship.Currently, Chiranjeevi is working on his upcoming film, 'Vishwambhara,' directed by Mallidi Vassishta, where he is expected to present a powerful new avatar.

He has also signed a project with director Srikanth Odela, which is in pre-production and anticipated to be a high-intensity action drama. This honor from the UK Parliament not only celebrates Chiranjeevi's cinematic achievements but also his enduring commitment to public service and cultural leadership.
