Telangana Secures Major Investments from Megha Engineering
During the World Economic Forum summit, several companies have expressed interest in investing in Telangana. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, discussions and agreements were finalized with prominent firms. Among these, Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited (MEIL) signed three significant agreements with the Telangana government.
The agreements involve projects worth ₹15,000 crore, including a 2,160 MW pumped storage power generation project, a battery energy storage system project, and the establishment of a world-class wellness resort in Ananthagiri Hills. Telangana’s Minister for Industries, Duddilla Sridhar Babu, welcomed Megha Engineering’s investment decisions. These projects are expected to create nearly 7,000 job opportunities.
Megha Engineering has allocated ₹11,000 crore for the pumped storage power generation project, ₹3,000 crore for the battery energy storage system project, and ₹1,000 crore for the luxury wellness resort.
