Imagine being tasked with handling security for a Bollywood wedding—sounds glamorous, right? Now, picture the wedding of Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor. Yes, no pressure. But for Yusuf Ibrahim, a renowned security consultant called it the 'toughest wedding' he’s ever managed, and here’s why.

Yusuf on handling 'toughest' Bollywood weddinz

Yusuf has handled a string of high-profile weddings in the Bollywood industry, but Alia and Ranbir's nuptials took the cake in terms of complexity. Why? He told Siddharth Kannan, “The toughest ever wedding we managed was that of Alia Bhatt. There were at least 350 people from media houses. At least ten people came from each company. Additionally, their fans had assembled outside their home. The same company sent four people from each of their regional channels. People had crowded the entire Pali Hill. Both ways leading to Pali Hill were filled with media and fans."

Yusuf further added, "The crowd was so much that we had to attend to guests' cars from down the road leading to their building. We had to run behind the cars. It got even more challenging because even the guests at the wedding were celebrities. The chaos was such that even the people residing in the building got annoyed and were immensely troubled."

The security team had their hands full, and the pressure was on.

How did he handle the crowd?

To handle this, Yusuf deployed a strategic plan—60 people per shift, working non-stop, because weddings wait for no one. “We worked round the clock. It was crazy because the building had just one gate for both entry and exit, so everybody had to enter through the same gate. We had to escort all the relatives and friends through that crowded road. All of their guests were celebs. The press was crazy on that night," he concluded.

And just like that, despite the madness, Yusuf and his team pulled off one of the most challenging security operations in Bollywood wedding history. And, it ended as a dreamy affair for Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor. The duo tied the knot of love and togetherness on April 14, 2022.
