Sharmila demands Jagan for resignation

 APCC chief Sharmila has launched a scathing attack on YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, demanding his resignation from the post of MLA for not attending the Assembly. Sharmila criticized Jagan’s stance, stating that his behavior—appearing only if given opposition status—demonstrates both ignorance and arrogance. “Jagan is not new to deceit, but it is unacceptable to deceive the very people who elected him and sent him to the Assembly.

His absence from the Assembly mocks democracy,” Sharmila said. She questioned Jagan’s intentions, asking whether he was elected to be the voice of the people in the legislature or to self-promote in front of the media. Sharmila further pointed out that while the ruling party is publishing white papers accusing Jagan’s previous five-year rule of corruption, looting, and indebting the state, Jagan has confined himself to media meetings.

“Isn’t it your responsibility to respond to these allegations in the Assembly? Isn’t it your duty to question the ruling party on behalf of the people?” she asked. She demanded Jagan’s immediate resignation, arguing that his refusal to attend the Assembly renders him undeserving of the MLA status.

“Those who do not respect the people’s decision and avoid the Assembly are not fit to be MLAs,” she asserted
