August this year brings a series of bank holidays, with banks across the country set to remain closed for a total of 13 days. This includes local holidays and weekends, as per the Reserve Bank of India’s (RBI) holiday schedule. Banks will be closed on the second and fourth Saturdays, as well as all Sundays, as is customary.
In addition, various regional holidays will contribute to the total number of non-working days. Despite these closures, online banking services will remain operational, allowing customers to perform transactions through bank websites, mobile apps, or ATMs to meet their immediate financial needs.
Customers are advised to plan their bank-related activities well in advance, considering the non-working dates to avoid any inconvenience. The specific dates when banks will remain closed in August are as follows: August 3, 4, 8, 10, 11, 13, 15, 18, 19, 20, 24, 25, and 26
