In a bid to seek justice for her father’s murder, Sunitha Reddy, daughter of former minister Y S Vivekananda Reddy, met with Home Minister Vangalapudi Anita at the Secretariat on Wednesday. During the meeting, Sunitha highlighted the aftermath of her father’s murder and the alleged injustices that transpired under the administration of former Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Sunitha Reddy conveyed her concerns about the handling of the murder case, asserting that the previous government had made concerted efforts to sidestep the investigation. She expressed her grief and frustration, alleging that local police officers had supported the perpetrators during the tenure of the YSR Congress government. Sunitha urged the Home Minister to support her ongoing legal battle and to take decisive action against those who had aided the murderers.

Sunitha demanded accountability for those who obstructed the investigation and protected the accused. She claimed that false cases were filed against Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials and that witnesses, as well as investigating officers, were threatened. In response, Home Minister Anita assured Sunitha of the government’s full cooperation and commitment to justice.

Minister Anita emphasized that the government is working sincerely to ensure that the guilty are punished. She assured Sunitha that no one, including errant police officers, would be spared. The Home Minister reiterated the government’s support for the CBI investigation and its dedication to upholding justice in the case of Y S Vivekananda Reddy’s murder.
