The project will utilize 1.76 acres of municipal land and is estimated to cost ₹3 crore. The integrated sports complex will feature facilities such as volleyball and basketball courts along with a swimming pool.
Speaking on the town's development, the minister emphasized that a robust plan is being devised for Tenali. Key focus areas include the expansion of major roads, improved healthcare facilities, a protected drinking water supply scheme, and initiatives to preserve the culture of Tenali's artists. Plans are also underway to install surveillance cameras and widen roads within the town limits.
For rural road development, ₹25 crore has been sanctioned, the Minister said. As part of this initiative, the Tenali-Kollipara CC roads will be improved. Chinaravuru Park will undergo renovations costing ₹20 lakh, with beautification expected to be completed by December 30, he added. Additionally, ₹1.15 crore has been allocated for the construction of Ikarus Park in Tenali’s Aitanagar. Repairs to the Duggirala-Mangalagiri road are expected to be finished before the Sankranti festival, he stated.
