Cancer Patient’s Family Thanks Nara Lokesh for Timely Assistance
Minister Nara Lokesh promptly responded to a tweet from a cancer patient’s family requesting financial assistance for treatment. Assuring support, he immediately sanctioned a Letter of Credit (LOC) worth ₹3 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF). Lokesh stated that his team contacted the family to gather details and subsequently decided that the government would bear the entire treatment cost. He confirmed that he had issued directives to the concerned officials accordingly.
Garlapati Brahmayya, a resident of Dharmakot in Guntur district, had been suffering from health issues for some time. Medical examinations confirmed that he had cancer, and doctors estimated the treatment cost to be around ₹5 lakh. Due to financial constraints, Brahmayya’s family sought assistance from Minister Nara Lokesh through a tweet, requesting support.
Upon seeing the tweet, Lokesh assured that his team would get in touch with them. After verifying the details, he sanctioned an LOC from the CMRF. Grateful for his swift response, Brahmayya’s family members expressed their appreciation for Lokesh’s assistance.
