Puri Jagannadh Eyes a Comeback; Possible Collaboration with Nagarjuna?
Director Puri Jagannadh is in dire need of a strong comeback after back-to-back failures with Liger and Double iSmart. Despite making waves with iSmart Shankar, his career has taken another downturn, and he’s struggling to find the right opportunity.
Amid speculation about Puri teaming up with a star hero, a fresh scoop suggests that he may collaborate with Nagarjuna Akkineni once again. While there were earlier reports of Puri preparing a script for Akhil Akkineni, it turns out he recently met Nagarjuna instead.
Will Nagarjuna Give the Green Light?
Currently, Nagarjuna has no solo hero commitments apart from his special cameos in Kubera and Coolie. Though he has been listening to multiple scripts, he is yet to finalize his next project.
Puri and Nagarjuna have previously worked together on two films—Shivamani (a commercial hit) and Super (which had a mixed response but gained a fan following over time). Nearly two decades have passed since their last collaboration, making this potential reunion even more intriguing.
For now, this remains speculation, but if they find the right content, fans could witness another high-energy action entertainer from the Nag-Puri duo. Meanwhile, Nagarjuna has been taking things slow post-Naa Saami Ranga. He was reportedly set to star in a pan-India film with a Tamil director, but the project remains stuck in pre-production.
