Manchu Vishnu’s Kannappa Locks New Release Date; Prabhas’ Fans Relieved

Manchu Vishnu’s much-anticipated film Kannappa has officially postponed its release from April 25th to June 27th. The announcement comes as a relief to Prabhas’ fans, who were anxious about the quality and timing of his special appearance in the film.

The revised date gives the team over 70 days to complete post-production, with a special focus on refining VFX-heavy sequences—particularly those featuring Prabhas. A recent internal screening prompted the makers to fine-tune key scenes to ensure a polished final cut and counter early negative buzz.

Interestingly, Vishnu has opted to hold off on promotional activities for now, planning a full-fledged campaign starting in May. The pre-release events and press meets will be strategically timed around Prabhas’ availability.

Meanwhile, buzz is building around a potential clash with Manchu Manoj’s Bhairavam. However, since Manoj isn’t the main lead in Bhairavam, and with the two films differing in scale and strategy, an actual box office collision seems unlikely.

With a new release date and a more refined product on the way, Kannappa is back on track—and all eyes are now on how the makers deliver this ambitious mythological spectacle.
