Ram Charan’s Love for Indian Food Sparks Family Business Venture

Global star Ram Charan is not just known for his blockbuster films and grounded nature—he's also deeply committed to Hindu traditions and Indian cuisine. No matter where he is in the world, he makes sure to have at least one Indian meal a day.

In a recent interview, his wife Upasana Konidela offered a heartwarming glimpse into this ritual. “My husband has to eat Indian food wherever we are in the world. One meal has to be Indian,” she shared.

To ensure this, Upasana revealed that she travels with a pressure cooker. “We carry a cooker wherever we go. We plug it in—sometimes even in the shower area—so we don’t trigger fire alarms, and voila, home-cooked food is ready,” she said with a smile.

What began as a thoughtful gesture has now turned into a family business idea. Inspired by Ram Charan’s food habits, his mother Surekha Konidela launched Atthamma’s Kitchen, offering homemade Indian delicacies and ready mixes with a short shelf life, rooted in authentic flavors.

Ram Charan’s commitment to tradition doesn’t just keep him grounded—it’s now helping bring a taste of home to many others too.
