Ambati Rambabu Slams TDP for Remarks Against Jagan

Senior YSR Congress Party leader and former minister Ambati Rambabu expressed strong outrage over derogatory remarks made by Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leaders against former Chief Minister Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. He condemned the use of terms like “psycho” and “rowdy”, calling them disrespectful and irresponsible.

Addressing the media, Rambabu alleged a surge in violent crimes including murders and attempted murders across the state and accused law enforcement authorities of inaction. “Even when complaints are taken to court, FIRs are not being registered,” he said. Rambabu further claimed that when he urged officials to register cases, counter-cases were filed against him instead. He also criticized the ruling coalition for sidelining certain police officers by not assigning them postings.

Turning his criticism toward current Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Rambabu said the TDP chief had failed to fulfill his electoral promises and stated that the term “cheater” was more appropriate than “CM.”

Rambabu also took exception to remarks made by State Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha, who had reportedly referred to Y. S. Jagan Mohan Reddy as merely the “Pulivendula MLA.” He argued that such comments undermine the dignity of a leader who served as Chief Minister and is therefore entitled to Z Plus security.

He strongly objected to suggestions that Jagan, now with just 11 MLAs, would only be given “1 Plus 1” security. Rambabu questioned the logic behind this downgrade, especially given the large public gatherings witnessed during Jagan’s recent helicopter arrival.

“Are these not the same people now refusing him adequate security?” he asked, alleging that the current government was deliberately neglecting proper security arrangements for the former Chief Minister.

The comments come amid increasing political tensions in the lead-up to the elections, as both the YSR Congress and TDP continue to trade sharp accusations.
