TDP Leader Buddha Venkanna Slams KTR Over Investment Remarks
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Buddha Venkanna has strongly criticized Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President and former Telangana minister K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) over his recent remarks comparing investments in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
Responding to KTR’s tweet suggesting that Andhra Pradesh was attracting investments while Telangana lagged, Buddha Venkanna accused him of contributing to BRS’s downfall. He recalled KTR’s past remarks about TDP chief N. Chandrababu Naidu, stating, “Your government collapsed simply because of one statement—‘Protest in the neighboring state, not here.’”
He also took aim at KTR’s father, former Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao (KCR), recalling how KCR had once mocked Chandrababu Naidu’s language skills. “If you want to understand Chandrababu Naidu’s impact, ask your father, who is sitting in his farmhouse,” he remarked.
Addressing KTR’s comment, “finally, Andhra Pradesh,” Buddha Venkanna questioned its tone and defended Andhra Pradesh’s strong brand identity under Chandrababu Naidu’s leadership. He asserted that Naidu was the key architect of the state’s development and warned KTR that his statements were ensuring BRS’s continued decline.
