IRCTC Launches Bharat Gaurav Train with 33% Discount to Boost Rail Tourism

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited (IRCTC) has announced the launch of the Bharat Gaurav Train to promote rail tourism under the ‘Dekho Apna Desh’ initiative. The train will begin its journey on March 27, 2025, from Bettiah station under the Samastipur Railway Division.

Affordable Pilgrimage with a 33% Discount

As part of the initiative, IRCTC is offering a special 33% discount on travel costs, making the pilgrimage more affordable for passengers. The train will cover major religious destinations across South India, offering a well-planned itinerary for devotees.

Boarding Stations & Itinerary

Passengers can board the train from key stations, including Sugauli, Raxaul, Bairginia, Sitamarhi, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Muzaffarpur, Hajipur, Pataliputra, Ara, Buxar, and Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Junction.

The journey will take pilgrims to significant spiritual sites, including:

  • Tirupati – Shri Balaji Darshan
  • Rameswaram – Shri Ramanathaswamy Temple
  • Madurai – Meenakshi Amman Temple
  • Kanyakumari – Kanyakumari Temple and Vivekananda Rock
  • Srisailam – Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga

The tour will conclude on April 7, 2025, at Samastipur Railway Station.

Budget-Friendly Packages & Amenities

IRCTC has designed economical and comfortable travel options:

  • Economy Class (Sleeper) – ₹22,520 per person
  • Comfort Class (3 AC) – ₹38,310 per person

Passengers will be accommodated in air-conditioned and non-air-conditioned hotels based on their selected package. Vegetarian meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) along with morning and evening tea and bottled water will be provided. AC and non-AC buses will be arranged for sightseeing.
