 A crucial meeting of the Committee of Ministers was convened at the State Secretariat to discuss the resumption of the Krishna Jala Harati at the Pavitra Sangam. During the meeting, it was resolved to organize the Krishna Jala Harati at the Krishna-Godavari confluence at the ferry ghat, aiming to restore the spiritual and cultural significance of the ritual.

Minister Anam Ramanarayana Reddy emphasized the importance of coordinating efforts across various departments, including endowment , Municipal, Tourism, Irrigation, and Police, to ensure the seamless execution of the Jala Harati program. The minister underlined the need for the program to evoke a profound sense of devotion among the participants. Since assuming office, Ramanarayana Reddy has shown a keen focus on revitalizing the department.

He recently announced plans to increase financial assistance to temples with an income of less than Rs 50,000. Furthermore, he reiterated his commitment to cleansing the debt department, beginning with the temple town of Tirumala. Minister Anam also disclosed that 160 temples across the state would undergo renovation under the Common Good Fund (CGF), marking a renewed effort to preserve and enhance the State’s rich cultural heritage.

The meeting was attended by minister K Partha Saradhi, endowment commissioner Satya Narayana, NTR district collector Srujana and Vijayawada Durga Malleswara Swamy Devasthanam EO Rama Rao
