The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) has issued tenders worth Rs 1206 crore for developing roads, drains, and other essential infrastructure in Amaravati's Capital Zones 5B and 5D. This initiative is part of a larger Rs 60,000 crore capital development project spearheaded by the coalition government.
The tender notification, supported by World Bank and Asian Development Bank funds, also includes separate provisions for infrastructure in lands acquired under the Land Pooling Scheme. The government aims to begin construction by the end of January, with additional tenders for remaining works expected in the next few days.
Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu has prioritized Amaravati's development since taking office, initiating several key programs and directing the immediate commencement of works following his visits to Amaravati and Polavaram.
