The Telangana government has denied permission for the benefit shows of the film Game Changer, directed by Shankar and starring Ram Charan, which is scheduled to release tomorrow during the Sankranti festival. The filmmakers had requested permission to conduct special benefit shows at midnight with increased ticket prices. However, the government turned down the request to hold a benefit show at 1 AM with the proposed higher ticket rates.

Despite rejecting the benefit show request, the government has granted approval for six shows starting from 4 AM on the day of release. Additionally, it approved an increase in ticket prices for the release day, allowing a hike of ₹100 for single screens and ₹150 for multiplexes. Furthermore, for the period from January 11 to January 19, the government has permitted five shows per day with an increase of ₹50 for single screens and ₹100 for multiplexes. The official orders regarding the same have been issued.
