Chief Minister Revanth Reddy introduced the Indiramma Houses Survey app
Hyderabad, December 5: The Indiramma Houses mobile app has been launched. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy introduced the Indiramma Houses Survey app on Thursday morning. Beneficiary selection for the housing scheme will begin tomorrow (Friday) through this app.
During the launch, Chief Minister Revanth stated that the Indiramma Houses scheme began with a budget of Rs. 10,000, which has now increased to Rs. 5 lakh. He emphasized that financial assistance of Rs. 5 lakh is being provided to every impoverished individual for the construction of their homes.
He highlighted that living with dignity is a fundamental dream for everyone, and having a personal home is essential to achieving that dream. He remarked that while a village may lack a temple, it should not lack Indiramma Houses. The Chief Minister articulated the Congress government's commitment to providing shelter, clothing, and sustenance to all citizens.
He announced that administrative permission has been granted for the construction of 450,000 houses in the first phase of the project, with 3,500 Indiramma houses planned in each constituency. He made it clear that the poorest individuals would receive priority in this initial phase, specifically targeting SCs, STs, transgenders, and the most vulnerable.
On this occasion, the CM also recalled the tradition of opposition parties offering constructive suggestions to the government in the past—a tradition he believes is being undermined now. He noted that both ruling and opposition parties are acting adversarially. He stated that a cohesive government could only be formed if both sides worked together, stressing the importance of cooperation within the assembly.
He encouraged KCR to engage as a respectful member and to contribute ideas, saying, “We have no differences… challenge the ruling party. KCR should attend the assembly and hold the government accountable, providing necessary suggestions.”
