Hyderabad: On Tuesday, about 19,000 Minimum Time Scale (MTS) employees working under the Comprehensive Punishment Abhiyan scheme in the state’s education department gathered outside the Assembly to demand regularization.
The employees, coming from all over the state, protested against the Congress government and voiced their demand for immediate implementation of the minimum time scale for comprehensive punishment employees.
They were arrested by the police after being intercepted. The employees reminded Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s pre-election promise to ensure justice and basic pay for them, made at the Warangal venue, but expressed disappointment over the lack of progress on this promise.
They mentioned that they would continue their protest against the government until CM Revanth Reddy fulfills his promises and criticized what they perceived as a dual attitude from the CM.
