Balakrishna Honored with Padma Bhushan, Celebrates Legacy at Rashtrapati Bhavan

Hero and Hindupur MLA Nandamuri Balakrishna was conferred with the prestigious Padma Bhushan at a grand ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi. Recognized for his significant contributions to Indian cinema, Balakrishna—who has acted in over 100 films—was celebrated for his impact in the field of arts.

Accompanied by his family, Balakrishna proudly showcased his cultural roots by donning a traditional Panche Kattu, symbolizing the richness of Telugu heritage on the national stage. The presence of his son Mokshagna, making a rare public appearance, drew considerable attention. Observers noted a noticeable change in his appearance—slimmer than before and looking slightly less radiant than usual. Balakrishna's daughters and their husbands, Bharath and Lokesh, also attended the ceremony in elegant traditional attire, adding grace and warmth to the occasion.

The Padma Awards, among the highest civilian honors in India, are presented by the President to individuals who have excelled in various fields including arts, literature, science, and public service. This year’s ceremony saw a host of luminaries being recognized for their dedication and excellence.

Balakrishna’s honor not only marks a personal milestone but also reflects the continuing legacy of the Nandamuri family in both the cinematic and public service arenas.
