Padma Awards Ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday

The prestigious Padma Awards ceremony will be held at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday, from 5 PM to 7 PM. President Droupadi Murmu will confer the awards during the ceremony. Among the distinguished recipients, actor and politician Nandamuri Balakrishna will be honored with the Padma Bhushan award. To mark this proud moment, Minister Nara Lokesh and his wife are expected to arrive in Delhi to attend the event.

Nandamuri Balakrishna, who considers acting an art form rather than just a profession, has dedicated more than five decades to the Telugu film industry, politics, and medical services. His relentless commitment and significant contributions have now been recognized with the Padma Bhushan, one of India’s highest civilian honors.

It is a historic moment for the Nandamuri family, as Balakrishna becomes the first in the lineage to receive a Padma award since his father, the legendary N.T. Rama Rao (NTR), who was honored with the Padma Shri in the 1960s.

Balakrishna’s career, spanning five decades, has been marked by grand successes and occasional setbacks. However, his resilience and unwavering spirit have always driven him forward. Known for his electrifying dialogue delivery, his commanding voice, and his fiery on-screen presence, Balakrishna commands a special place in the hearts of Telugu audiences.

Much like his father NTR, Balakrishna has immense respect for the Telugu language, often weaving rich, traditional expressions into his performances. Off-screen too, he is known for his discipline, straightforwardness, and fearless honesty, embodying these values in his daily life.

Even at 60, Balakrishna remains as dynamic as ever, competing energetically with younger actors and winning over new generations of fans. His popularity has surged nationally, especially with his hit talk show Unstoppable, further cementing his legendary status.
