BJP set to conquer South India : Kishan Reddy
Union Minister G Kishan Reddy asserted that the BJP would soon establish its rule across South India, including Tamil Nadu and Telangana.
Speaking to the media on Saturday, he said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is tirelessly working towards the development of the nation and the upliftment of the weaker sections. Kishan Reddy emphasized that the BJP has been celebrating Dr. B R Ambedkar’s birth anniversary with great pomp for many years. He noted that this year, the party decided to extend the celebrations for ten days across the country, rather than limiting it to April 14.
Highlighting Ambedkar’s struggles, Reddy said, “Born in a Dalit community, Ambedkar faced countless challenges and insults from his student days. Despite that, he rose as a great intellectual, fought against untouchability, and inspired the weaker sections.” He described Ambedkar as a patriotic leader who consistently worked for national unity.
Lashing out at the Congress party, Kishan Reddy alleged that Congress leaders humiliated Ambedkar at every stage, from campaigning against his parliamentary bids to forcing his resignation as the country’s first Law Minister. He accused the Congress of amending the Constitution for political gains and undermining Ambedkar’s legacy.
Kishan Reddy said Prime Minister Modi corrected these historical wrongs by honoring Ambedkar, installing his portrait in Parliament, developing memorials at places associated with him under the "Pancha Tirtha" initiative, and ensuring the Bharat Ratna was conferred on Ambedkar.
He further noted that inspired by Ambedkar’s ideology, the Modi government has focused on schemes to empower the poor, such as building toilets for restoring dignity, providing clean drinking water, and offering health protection through Ayushman Bharat.
“The BJP government is committed to strengthening the Constitution and working for the upliftment of the poor and marginalized sections, staying true to Ambedkar’s vision,” Kishan Reddy said.
