Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha Reviews Arrangements for Chandanotsavam at Simhachalam

State Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha reviewed the preparations for the Chandanotsavam of Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy at Simhachalam. During her visit to the temple on Sunday, she personally inspected the arrangements and offered suggestions to the temple authorities to ensure smooth proceedings.

Minister Anitha emphasized that providing a peaceful darshan for common devotees is a top priority during the Chandanotsavam. She assured that measures are in place to prevent any inconvenience to the devotees. However, she clarified that the antaralaya darshan will conclude by 6 am. Additionally, special steps are being taken to manage traffic around Simhachalam to avoid congestion.

To accommodate the large number of devotees expected, numerous buses are being arranged. The temple authorities are collaborating with senior officials from various departments to ensure that the event runs smoothly. Minister Anitha noted that a team of five ministers had reviewed the arrangements in an unprecedented manner this year. It is anticipated that around two lakh devotees will attend the Chandanotsavam.

The Home Minister also highlighted the successful organization of similar festivals at various temples during the NDA government’s tenure.

Earlier, Home Minister Anitha was warmly welcomed at the Simhachalam temple with traditional temple etiquette. She embraced the Kappa pillar and received Vedic blessings from scholars. The temple authorities also presented her with a picture of the Lord and Prasad.

The Appanna Chandanotsavam will take place on April 30, offering devotees a rare opportunity to witness Sri Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy in his true form. Devotees from both within and outside the state are expected to flock to the temple for this special occasion.
