Prabhas, one of Indian cinema’s busiest stars, currently has a packed slate — but most of his projects are facing delays in one form or another.
On one hand, Raja Saab continues to be pushed back, with no official update on its release date. Meanwhile, Salaar 2, the highly anticipated sequel, is still some time away from going on floors. Adding to the mix are two much-talked-about films: Spirit and Kalki 2, both of which have been generating consistent buzz on social media.
Director Nag Ashwin, who recently visited Tirupati with his family, provided a key update on Kalki 2 after seeking blessings at Lord Balaji’s temple. “The script work is currently in progress,” he shared. “We’re aiming to take the film to floors by the end of the year, but it depends on when the script is finalized.” His statement makes it clear — Kalki 2 isn’t starting anytime soon.
Similarly, there have been whispers about delays in the commencement of Spirit as well. As it stands, Prabhas has four major films — Raja Saab, Salaar 2, Kalki 2, and Spirit — all facing varying degrees of hold-ups.
Quietly, though, the star is moving forward with Fauzi, a project he’s currently wrapping up under the radar. Interestingly, buzz suggests that Prabhas and the Fauzi team might reunite for yet another project in the near future.
Despite the delays, the excitement surrounding Prabhas’ lineup remains sky-high. All eyes are now on when the action finally kicks into motion.
