KTR Criticizes Congress Rule, Rallies Support for BRS Ahead of Local Elections

BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao (KTR) on Sunday asserted that the Bharat Rashtra Samithi is the only party that truly represents the spirit and identity of Telangana, urging voters to reject both the Congress and BJP in the upcoming local body elections.

Addressing party workers in Malkajgiri, KTR called on people to hold the “Delhi-based parties” accountable.
“Be it any election, it’s time to teach both BJP and Congress a lesson,” he said.

Taking aim at Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, KTR accused him of misleading the public with hollow promises.
“The state trusted a deceptive leader and is now paying the price,” he said.
“Believing a fraudster once is a mistake, but falling for him again is our mistake,” he added, calling for a decisive rejection of Congress in the GHMC elections and beyond.

He said the state is facing a governance crisis, even as Revanth Reddy “continues to celebrate” while discontent brews within his own ranks.
“Ministers, MLAs, and party workers are all dissatisfied. The public doesn’t need further proof,” KTR said.

He invited party cadres to join the BRS Silver Jubilee celebrations on April 27, calling it a milestone achievement.
“We are proud to be only the second party in the Telugu states to complete 25 years,” he noted.

Earlier, a massive rally was held in Malkajgiri to welcome KTR. Several senior leaders from Congress and BJP joined the BRS during the event.

KTR also praised Malkajgiri MLA Rajasekhar Reddy for actively addressing civic issues.
“From waste management to standing up against official negligence, he’s shown what strong leadership can achieve,” he said.
