Andhra Pradesh Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha has strongly condemned the propaganda of Bhumana Karunakar Reddy and other YSRCP leaders for campaigning of misinformation regarding cow deaths at the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) cow shelter.
In a sharp statement, Minister Anitha accused Bhumana of spreading false propaganda aimed at inciting religious sentiments and tarnishing the reputation of TTD, which is revered by millions across the globe. She alleged that these actions are intended to create unrest and religious disharmony.
“The YSRCP is making baseless claims daily to damage the sanctity of TTD and disturb public peace,” Anitha said. “They are even targeting the cow shelter, where cows are worshipped by crores of devotees as sacred beings.”
Highlighting the shelter's efforts, she said 2,668 cows have been geo-tagged and are monitored daily by over 260 dedicated employees. She added that the facility is now equipped with modern infrastructure, and cleanliness is maintained rigorously with regular bleaching and sanitation.
“Despite these efforts, false claims are being made that there is no hygiene or geo-tracking of cows, and that post-mortems are not conducted the all of which are completely baseless,” Anitha emphasized.
The Home Minister further alleged that Bhumana Karunakar Reddy was involved in corruption, mismanagement of TTD funds, and even promoted religious conversions, attempting to reduce the sacred Seven Hills to five and privatize the TTD.
“We will take legal action for inciting religious hatred and defaming TTD with false accusations,” she warned.
