Telangana Farmers Get Good News: Rythu Bharosa Guidelines Released
On the occasion of Sankranti, the Telangana government has announced a major update for farmers in the state
On the occasion of Sankranti, the Telangana government has announced a major update for farmers in the state by issuing new guidelines for the Rythu Bharosa scheme. The government has decided to implement the scheme starting from January 26, with an increase in the financial assistance provided to farmers. The support amount has been raised to ₹12,000 per acre, offering a significant boost to agricultural investment.
According to the issued guidelines, only agricultural lands registered in the Dharani portal as cultivable will be eligible for the financial aid under Rythu Bharosa. Lands that are not suitable for cultivation will be excluded from the scheme. The government has also clarified that pattadars under the Forest Rights Act (RoFR) will be eligible to receive the assistance.
The disbursement of funds will be carried out through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) method, ensuring that the financial aid is credited directly to the farmers' bank accounts.
The order mentions that the scheme will be implemented under the supervision of the Director of Agriculture, while the National Informatics Centre (NIC) will serve as the IT partner for the program. District collectors have been designated as the responsible officials for the implementation of the scheme at the district level and for resolving any related complaints.
