FIR Filed Against Rahul Gandhi

A scuffle erupted between ruling BJP and opposition Congress party MPs in the Parliament premises. In this context, BJP MPs have filed a complaint against Opposition Leader Rahul Gandhi with the police, accusing him of attacking them.

Consequently, an FIR has been registered against Rahul Gandhi. BJP MP Pratap Sarangi stated that Rahul Gandhi pushed a fellow MP into him. Sarangi mentioned that when the MP fell on him, he tumbled down the stairs. The injured Sarangi was subsequently taken to the hospital in an ambulance by Parliament security personnel.

In response to the incident, Rahul Gandhi spoke to reporters at the Parliament, stating that he attempted to enter the building but was stopped by BJP MPs. He claimed that he was pushed during this altercation.

The Constitution has completed 75 years since it came into force. In this context, a special debate on the Constitution was held during the winter session of Parliament. This debate took place over two days, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah addressing the Rajya Sabha.

He remarked on the frequent invocation of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s name, suggesting that referencing a divine name consistently would lead to goodness in the hereafter. This comment incited indignation among opposition parties, prompting them to demand an apology from Amit Shah and calling for his resignation.

In response, Prime Minister Modi addressed Amit Shah's comments through a series of tweets on his official platform, criticizing the Congress party and highlighting events that occurred during their rule. The opposition continued to insist that Amit Shah should resign and apologize to the public.

In protest, Congress MPs staged a march from the Ambedkar statue to the Parliament Makar Dwar on Thursday and subsequently demonstrated within the Parliament premises.

BJP MPs also protested in retaliation, leading to slogan-raising by both ruling and opposition party members. Amidst this, Rahul Gandhi attempted to enter the Parliament but was blocked by BJP MPs. He asserted his right as an MP to access the building, which led to a minor scuffle.

Reports indicate that a BJP MP fell during the altercation and was injured. Security personnel responded quickly and took him to the hospital. Prime Minister Modi later inquired about the well-being of the injured MP.
