Chandrababu performs bhoomi pooja for new residence in Amaravati

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and his wife Nara Bhuvaneswari performed Bhoomi Pooja on Wednesday morning for the construction of their new house in Velagapudi, within the Amaravati capital region. The auspicious ceremony was conducted by Vedic scholars at exactly 8:51 am.

The house, which will come up on a five-acre plot purchased by the Chief Minister from local farmers, is located adjacent to the E6 road, behind the Secretariat. Family members, including minister Nara Lokesh and his relatives, were present at the event.

According to sources close to the development, the CM intends to build the residence over 2,500 square yards, incorporating space for an office, living quarters, car parking, and other amenities. The move is being seen as a strong signal of the Chief Minister’s commitment to Amaravati as the capital city.

By choosing to construct a personal residence in the region, Chandrababu Naidu is expected to instill confidence among citizens and investors regarding the future of Amaravati. Nara Bhuvaneswari is also said to have recently visited and inspected the proposed site, which is now set to witness active construction in the coming weeks.
