In a startling incident on Sunday, a leopard was spotted in Rajendranagar, Hyderabad, creating panic among morning walkers at the Professor Jayashankar Agricultural University. According to eyewitnesses, the leopard appeared near the statue of Professor Jayashankar within the university premises and later disappeared into the nearby trees. Walkers reported noticing leopard paw prints in the area.

The news of the sighting has left students and locals anxious. This is not the first time Rajendranagar has witnessed leopard activity. Four years ago, a similar incident occurred near the Himayat Sagar Voluntary Research Farm House, where a leopard attacked cattle, killing a calf and causing widespread alarm at the time. The leopard’s appearance within the university premises has now reignited concerns among residents and students, prompting heightened vigilance in the area
