In Hyderabad, priority for the Indiramma housing scheme will be given to individuals who already own land, according to Minister Ponnam Prabhakar. He emphasized that the government’s primary objective is to provide housing to every impoverished person in the state. Minister Ponnam assured that incomplete double-bedroom houses across the state will be expedited and handed over to eligible beneficiaries.

The minister conducted a review meeting on Sunday at the GHMC headquarters, attended by officials, local MLAs, and MLCs. During the meeting, discussions primarily focused on the selection process of Indiramma housing beneficiaries and the issuance of new ration cards.

Following the review, Minister Ponnam Prabhakar announced that field-level verification for new ration card applications would be conducted from January 16 to 20. After this, data entry for eligible applicants will be completed by January 21, and the issuance of new ration cards will commence on January 26. He further stated that new ration cards and Indiramma houses would also be provided to migrants who have relocated to Hyderabad from other districts.
