Hyderabad competes with global cities, not Amaravati: Revanth

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy underlined Telangana’s ambition to position itself on the global map

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy underlined Telangana’s ambition to position itself on the global map, asserting that Hyderabad should compete with world-class cities rather than neighboring Andhra Pradesh or Amaravati. Speaking at the launch of former BJP Governor Vidyasagar Rao's book "Uniki", CM Revanth expressed his dedication to transforming Hyderabad into a cosmopolitan hub.

He disclosed his discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi on key projects such as Metro Rail expansion and the Regional Ring Road (RRR). “I have urged the Prime Minister to extend support for these vital infrastructure projects. The growth of states hinges on the Center’s cooperation, and I am ready to work with PM Modi for the betterment of Telangana and the nation,” CM Revanth remarked. The Chief Minister emphasized unity within the state to secure approvals for critical projects, referencing the collaborative approaches of Tamil Nadu and Karnataka.

“In states like Tamil Nadu, political differences are set aside for development. Telangana must adopt a similar tradition to achieve its goals,” he said. Revanth also detailed his vision to attract global investments, particularly in the automobile industry, to make Hyderabad a preferred destination for high-growth sectors. “

Hyderabad has the potential to become a magnet for global investments, paving the way for rapid industrial and economic growth,” he stated. CM Revanth reiterated his pragmatic approach, advocating for collaboration beyond political rivalries. “Elections are for politics, but governance demands cooperation. I am open to working with anyone for development.
