The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has taken a crucial decision when the deadline given by the Center to update Aadhaar details for free (Free Aadhaar Update) is about to end today. It has been announced that this deadline will be extended again. Posted on UIDAI X. It has been revealed that it will be increased till December 14, 2024. With this, those who want to change the address in Aadhaar card can immediately update it online for free.

According to the UIDAI rules, the details related to Aadhaar need to be updated every ten years. For this, the respective proof documents should be submitted. Free services are available only through ‘My Aadhaar’ portal. Changes like name, date of birth, address can be added. After the expiry of free Aadhaar can be updated as before by paying Rs.50 at the centers.
