Matrapu Jessiraj, a talented athlete from Mangalagiri in the Guntur district, has been honored with the prestigious 'Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bala Puraskar-2025'.
Matrapu Jessiraj, a talented athlete from Mangalagiri in the Guntur district, has been honored with the prestigious 'Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bala Puraskar-2025'. This award, presented by the central government, recognizes 25 children across the country each year for their exceptional talent in various fields. The latest list of awardees was recently announced by the Union Ministry of Women and Child Development.
At just 14 years old, Jessiraj is currently in the ninth grade at a private school in Vijayawada. She has been practicing skating since she was nine years old. With the support of her parents, Radha and Suresh, and the guidance of her coach, Simhadri, she has excelled in both national and international competitions, winning a remarkable total of 50 medals and prizes.
In June of this year, Jessiraj showcased her skills by securing a gold medal in the 'Inline Free Skating' category at competitions held in New Zealand. Her father, Suresh, mentioned that she will receive the award from President Droupadi Murmu in Delhi on the 26th of this month.
