The Andhra Pradesh Cabinet, under the leadership of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, is set to convene on Wednesday at 11 a.m. to deliberate on a range of crucial issues, including the new excise policy for the State and the evaluation of ministers’ performance during the first 100 days of the government.

One of the main highlights of the meeting is expected to be the approval of a new liquor policy. A ministerial sub-committee, tasked with reviewing the excise policy, will present its recommendations to the Cabinet for discussion. The implementation of this policy is likely to commence on the 1st of next month, once the Cabinet gives its nod. Apart from the excise policy, the Cabinet is set to discuss the flood damage that has affected various regions, particularly Vijayawada, and the assistance received from the Centre for flood relief efforts.

Crop damage compensation and the State’s response to the recent floods will also be key topics on the agenda. As the government approaches the 100-day mark on September 20, the Cabinet will review the progress of various departments during this period. Ministers are expected to present reports detailing the results of their 100-day plans, while Chief Minister Naidu will evaluate the overall performance of the Cabinet.

Special attention will be given to the contribution of ministers from Janasena, and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan will likely receive a performance report of his party’s ministers. The Cabinet meeting is likely to be pivotal as it addresses pressing governance issues and takes stock of the coalition government’s achievements during its initial 100 days in power.
