Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has declared that a substantial fund of Rs 31,000 crore has been readied for the construction of Amaravati, envisioned as the capital city of Andhra Pradesh. Speaking on Thursday, the Chief Minister emphasized the government’s commitment to efficient execution of the development plan, stating that Amaravati is poised to become a prominent hub in the tourism and business sectors, gaining both national and international recognition. "Amaravati holds a pivotal role in the State's progress.
 
The capital’s construction is progressing with a vision of creating an integrated city and a multi-dimensional hub equipped with world-class facilities," Naidu said. He assured that there would be no financial constraints, as the state has completed all necessary arrangements to commence construction using the allocated funds. Of the Rs 31,000 crore, Rs 15,000 crore has been sanctioned by the World Bank, while Rs 16,000 crore has been approved by HUDCO. Officials noted that the World Bank is likely to finalize its approval today.
 
Minister Nadendla Manohar has urged the authorities to ensure meticulous planning in the assembly's construction, with the Chief Minister directing officials to study architectural designs and functionalities of legislative buildings across the globe. Naidu further highlighted that the administrative clearances for finances, land acquisition, and construction agreements are being expedited to avoid delays.
 
He assured that work would progress uninterrupted, with continuous monitoring of developments across all sectors. Officials have projected that the capital's construction will be completed within three years, with initial work slated to commence in 30 days. The CM reaffirmed his vision for Amaravati as a city of global standards, promising that the ambitious project will elevate Andhra Pradesh’s prominence on the world stage.
