Posani Krishna Murali’s Release Halted as Guntur CID Issues PT Warrant

Prominent actor and screenwriter Posani Krishna Murali’s release has been unexpectedly halted after the Guntur CID police issued a prisoner transit (PT) warrant against him.

Posani was arrested for allegedly making objectionable remarks against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, Nara Lokesh, Pawan Kalyan, and their family members. Just a day earlier, the Kurnool court had granted him bail on a ₹20,000 bond with two sureties. Prior to that, the Narasaraopet district court had also approved his bail, leading to expectations of his release today.

However, in a sudden twist, the Guntur CID police intervened with a PT warrant. CID officials arrived at Kurnool District Jail, where Posani is currently lodged. As per legal procedure, he will now be presented virtually before the judge instead of being released.

With this unexpected development, his release has been postponed indefinitely.
