AR Dairy Receives Relief from Madras High Court The Madras High Court heard the petition filed by AR Dairy on Friday and directed the Central Licensing Authority to issue new notices to AR Dairy. It also suggested that AR Dairy should be given sufficient time to respond to the show cause notice. The notice issued by the authorities has stated that there are vague allegations and that there is no proper evidence anywhere that the rules have been violated. The Supreme Court reiterated the comments and said that the inquiry should be kept away from politics.
AR Dairy claimed that they are the exclusive supplier of ghee to TTD from Tamil Nadu. According to the agreement, the ghee was dispatched on June 4, 6, 19, and 27 and was supplied only after clearance from the TTD laboratory. TTD also made payments for three tankers. Furthermore, four more tankers were sent on July 3, 4, and 9, but TTD rejected them without giving any reasons. Later, TTD issued show cause notices to provide an explanation. AR Dairy explained that TTD relied on the reports of the NDDB in Gujarat and not the Food Safety Officer prescribed by the Food Safety and Standards Act – 2006.
