Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris has turned down Republican rival Donald Trump’s proposal to move the presidential debate to the Fox News channel. Trump and President Joe Biden had agreed to participate in two presidential debates, one hosted by CNN in June and the second by ABC News scheduled for September 10.

When Biden withdrew from the race, Vice President Harris was declared the 2024 presidential nominee of the Democratic Party. On Saturday, Trump announced that he had accepted an offer from Fox News to debate Harris on September 4, replacing the original plan with ABC News.

However, Harris rejected Trump’s offer and insisted on sticking to the original plan for the ABC News debate on September 10. The Harris campaign accused Trump of trying to avoid the already agreed-upon debate and stated that Vice President Harris will be there on September 10, as per the original agreement.

They expressed willingness to consider further debates but only after the one they have already committed to takes place. Last month, Harris challenged Trump to a debate before the general elections on November 5.
