‘They are harassing us.. KTR in the assembly..!

 BRS MLA KTR stated that the government is targeting opposition members. He said that if his party workers post on social media, cases are filed. KTR said in the Legislature that there is pressure to delete the posts. When Legislative Affairs Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu said that there will be no compromise in maintaining peace and security in the state, KTR responded to this. He said that the minister did not respond to some of the issues raised by them. He said that the states of Karnataka, West Bengal, and Tamil Nadu have brought some amendments to the new laws brought in place of the IPC, but the Congress government in Telangana is not bringing any amendments.

The Telangana government’s stand on the laws brought by the Center should be clarified. KTR asked the House to inform the House when they intend to make amendments. He said that boycotting against the decisions and actions taken by the government is also a crime under the new laws. There is a need to bring amendments in such laws. KTR criticized the attitude of the police in Telangana.

Unauthorized pressure and use of force on various opposition parties and public organizations is not appropriate, he said. It is wrong for the government to misuse the laws. Recently, the leaders of the Civil Rights Association were not given permission to hold a meeting in a hall in Hyderabad. KTR suggested that the government should be more careful in such matters. Reacting to taking photos and videos in the Assembly Hall, KTR said that Congress MPs may have taken photos and videos in Parliament in the past.

Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy denied these comments. He said that taking photos and videos in Parliament and Assembly is completely prohibited and the Speaker has the power to take action if such actions are taken. KTR said that it is not appropriate for ministers to make running commentary while speaking. He said that action should be taken if someone takes photos and morphing, and at the same time, the authorities should act more responsibly.”
