Minister Nara Lokesh expressed gratitude to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu after the latter announced the release of various pending bills, including those for students. CM Chandrababu Naidu stated today that pending bills amounting to ₹6,700 crore would be cleared, including significant dues under the fee reimbursement scheme. This decision brings long-awaited relief to students who have been awaiting fee reimbursements.
Reacting to this development, Nara Lokesh praised the Chief Minister and remarked, “While Kans Mama cheated and escaped, our Chandranna is delivering justice.” Lokesh further criticized former CM Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, alleging, “Jagan Reddy burdened lakhs of students with unpaid fee dues, jeopardizing their future. Ironically, after creating this financial burden, he claimed credit by protesting for the clearance of dues.”
Lokesh elaborated that upon taking charge as the Education Minister, he engaged in discussions with college managements to ensure that students received their certificates without delay. He reiterated the government’s commitment to fulfilling its promise by clearing the pending dues in phases. “Today, we have decided to release ₹788 crore as part of the fee reimbursement dues. This decision, coming during the festive season, is a ‘Sankranti gift’ for students. My heartfelt thanks to Honorable Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu for delivering this good news,” Lokesh said in an official statement.
