Swiggy Instamart appoints Sairam Krishnamurthy as Sr Vice President & COO

Swiggy Instamart, the quick commerce platform, has named Sairam Krishnamurthy as the Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer.

In his new role, Krishnamurthy will be responsible for overseeing various operating units of Swiggy Instamart, including dark store operations, infrastructure operations, city growth and expansion.

With over 18 years of experience in leadership positions across FMCG, consumer tech, and retail, Krishnamurthy brings a wealth of expertise to the role.

Prior to joining Swiggy Instamart, he served as the Chief Operating Officer of the supermarket business at More Retail, where he also held the position of Chief Merchandising Officer.

Additionally, Krishnamurthy has had stints at Ola Mobility as the Head of India Supply and a 14-year tenure at Hindustan Unilever Ltd in various roles in sales, marketing, and innovation.

Krishnamurthy is an alumnus of BITS Pilani, holding an engineering degree, and IIM Bangalore, where he completed his PGDM.
