Yadagirigutta: A Surge of Devotees at the Temple

The Yadagirigutta Sri Lakshminarasimhaswamy temple has seen a significant increase in the number of devotees.

The Yadagirigutta Sri Lakshminarasimhaswamy temple has seen a significant increase in the number of devotees. Many celebrities and devotees flock to the temple to have darshan (a spiritual viewing) of the Lord. With Sunday being a holiday, long queues have formed as devotees patiently wait for their turn. It typically takes about two hours for the regular darshan of Sri Lakshminarasimhaswamy and about an hour for the special darshan.

On this particular Sunday, the temple was bustling with visitors, especially due to the Kartik month coinciding with the weekend holiday. Numerous devotees participated in various rituals, including the Swami's Nijabhishekam, Archana, Nitya Kalyanam, and the Vrata Puja of Sri Satyanarayana Swamy. The temple parking lot was at full capacity, with many vehicles also parked along the ring road surrounding the temple grounds. In honor of Kartikamasam, areas designated for the vows of Satyadev and specially arranged Deeparadhana were crowded with devotees.

In addition to visiting the Panchanarasimhas in the sanctum sanctorum on the hill, many offered their respects at the Parvatavardhini Sametha Ramalingeswara Swamy in the adjacent Shiva temple. Several areas within the temple complex, including the queue complexes, main temple, Kalyanotsavam, Vrata Mandapam, temple Thiruveedhu, Shiva temple, Prasad Vikasala, Kondakinda Vrata Mandapam, Lakshmi Pushkarini, Annadana Satram, and Kalyana Katta, were bustling with devotees.

Visitors eagerly took photos in the northern section of the temple. Meanwhile, RTC officials arranged transportation for devotees heading to the hill. The temple priests conducted the Suprabhata Seva, awakening the deity with traditional morning rituals, as daily pujas continued for the Swayambhuvu. At the Shiva temple on the hill, daily pujas, Rudrahavan pujas, and Shaivaga rituals were performed for Sri Parvatavardhini and Ramalingeswara Swamy.
